V&A Quilts 1700-2010

a very enjoyable trip today to Quilts 1700-2010 at the V&A. I am looking forward to all the group discussions that will leas from this event. several other bonusses of visiting the V&A today. the grace kelly exhibition was on but soon after our arrival the days timed tickets were sold out, so in general it would be best to prebook them online before travelling to the museum. a small but very interesting exhibition , the modern masters was found on the third floor, which shows alongside thew tv series on sunday evenings looking at andy warhol, henri matisse, pablo picasso and this coming sunday its the turn of salvador dali. the jewellry gallery next door was spectacular and for visitors of a certain age, like myself, there was a delightful exhibition of photographs from the 60’s onward of top of the pops. i am sure you could spend a week continuously in the V&A and still not see it all. we had the added pleasure of being able to sit outside in the sunshine for tea and obligatory cake.
